| doesn't look like fibreglass at all..the back is smooth and it has that support...it looks like urethane to me...if they were glass you would see the woven cloth. he's advertising it as a 944 turbo wing? hmm? |

yes it does look like urethane ,def not fiberglass and by the shape it's not 951 ,seller is mistaken.
Being urethane that's what made me think it might be factory and the side marker shape. Does anyone recognize those markings on the inside?
I asked the seller if he also has the left side ,he says he already sold those
In any case i bought one , should arrive this week. _________________ '86 944 Club Sport replica

| You got a good score there. I have a set of factory GTS fenders which are fiberglass. Gt and gts fenders have a distinctly different shape than 944 around the lower wheel well portion. This one looks right. Tough to tell what those codes are. Porsche contracted with several different companies for their fiberglass work. Not sure who did the urethane work for them. Check the PET and see if any of those numbers are on the part number. |

My front bumper is fiberglass and it has a nice and even back surface.
If you look at the turn signal area on the back side i think there is a plastic insert visible, so this might indeed be urethane. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Got it just now ! It's a pretty thick urethane and it's high quality , looks like the real deal . The one i got has a different code than the one pictured , 16M2 , also it's brand new never used ,maybe the code is a serial for the ones sold as spares.
For now it's wall art
PS: Who got the second one ???.... and now the third lol _________________ '86 944 Club Sport replica

post some pics when you get a chance...is it cast in grey? I will bet a dollar or .85 euros that the first digit "1" is for the year it was cast... 1981...which would be in line with when the CGT was made.
were you able to score the other side too? |
