The time has come to replace the steering tie rods. Of course the standard P parts are either not available or made from pure gold.

Has anyone successfully replaced with VW MK1 Golf, Rabbit, Scirocco etc rods like these?

Yes, I know they don't include the stop ring (477 419 827) but I can hopefully reuse the old one or find a new one somewhere.

And, yes, I have searched but haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

I think the pivot has a smaller diameter screw for connecting to the spindle.
