Has anyone ever run into a fuel pump leaking THROUGH the electrical connections?.At any rate, I ordered one online which was defective and I'm awaiting a replacement. All I am hearing on other forums is that it's the banjo fitting or the crimp and it doesn't appear to be either. It's a drip, rather than a flow, leaking a tbsp a day or so

I can't say that I have... is the replacement a Bosch unit? I've replaced several fuel pumps over the years and even the one on my own car. I've always used the Bosch units and all are still working flawlessly, even those I installed nearly a decade ago.

Yes, a Bosch made in Czech Republic. The original was made in France. The odd thing is I have seen them priced from 123 to 400 online (even less on Ebay) for Bosch units.

I have had several Bosch units leak. They typically will leak at the electrical terminals.

A Genuine Bosch pump for these cars are about $200.

If you didn't pay that much, you probably got a counterfeit.
