Hi all,
I've been off this forum for about three years - there is a story behind it which I am happy to share should anyone care (PM me) but the short of it is this:
Life threw me a curve ball and even though I swung and missed I manged to steel a base - I've started my own company as a result of hooking up with a local fabricator on a unrelated 924 project. Needless to say, the majority of the last three years has been spent growing the company in addition to maintaining my full-time job. You can learn more about the company, that specializes in off-road and rally parts for Subarus, at http://www.gorillaoffroadcompany.com.
As for this post, I still have an attachment to the 924 (since I'm finally getting mine back on the road this month) as well as this community. I've always believed the 924 would make a perfect rally car. But that is besides the point - I just want to put it out there that I have access to an excellent fabricator who can do anything from roll cages, to fuel cells, to skid plates, to exhaust systems, etc. - you name it.
And that is the point of this post - using my 79 924 as the guinea pig, please feel free to let me know if there is something the 924 community could really need in terms of a reproduction or custom aftermarket part.
For instance, that engine belly pan - mine is a mangled mess and I'm going to look into get that remade and jigged for reproduction - would anyone be interested in that?
Please feel free to post any ideas or needs as I'd be happy to have a conversation about seeing if we could get something done. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

Thanks for the replies guys.
I figured there might be interest in the belly pan - I can't wait to get the car on the lift again and start looking at all the things we can do.
As for the front spoiler, are you looking for something like this:

would a splitter on the bottom be too much or unnecessary? _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

I have acquired all of the jigs and sample pipes from Stahl for the 2.0L NA headers, as well as the 944/968 8v and 16v headers. I will be looking for a fabricator who will work with me to reproduce them. And, even better, it looks very likely that we will be moving to the northern Chicago 'burbs. Perhaps we should talk _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I'm another vote on a reproduction 931 slotted valance! Depending on cost I might be in for a reproduction belly pan. _________________ Melanie - 1980 931
