I don't know what the heck is on my rear windows, but after filming I realized I should prolly clean the windows before I do anymore filming. It's not bad, but it's noticeable. But I don't know what it is?? Glass cleaner won't touch it. I don't know if it's cig smoke from many years or LA smog, lol. I am using throttle body spray to take it off. I am not even done yet, I got about half the window done now, it's looking crystal clear now.

Anyone ever deal with this?

Common causes of interior film on glass: smog, road grime, and auto exhaust when driving with windows open or with leaky hatch, coolant residue leak and condensate from heater, outgassing from newer plastic components if car left in sun, silicone dash cleaner overspray and outgassing, and possibly even some condensation of gasoline fumes. If car is driven with, or by, a smoker, obviously cigarette smoke condensate. If any of the windows are tinted, only water, vinegar, and possibly newpaper should be used on those (e.g., not alcohol or ammonia glass-cleaner sprays). Anything stronger is not recommended by auto detailers.
