|
|
Now I have sorted out why my passengers window won't go up and down, with some swirtch swapping to sort it, the bloody window glass seems to have fallen out of it's track at the front.
I guess I need to pull the trim off the door to get it it. Anyhing I need to be aware of when doing this?
Cheers

Remove the plastic lock pull.
Remove the three phillips head screws along the bottom of the door pocket and remove the door pocket.
Remove the three phillips head screws on the underside of the armrest and carefully let the armrest dangle.
Remove the plastic cup in the inner door release bezel. Behind it is a philips head screw. Remove this screw, and then shoe-horn the bezel out from behind the door release handle.
There should be two screws along the upper leading and trailing edges of the door card that affix it to the sheet metal. Remove both of these.
The rest of the door card is held in place with plastic "christmas trees". The best way to remove this is using a panel puller tool, or lacking that, using a 2"-3" putty knife. Be very careful when popping these out that you don't rip them out of the fragile (often water-soaked) cardboard of the door card.
Once these are all loose, lift the door card up and away, slowly. Pause, and disconnect the electrical harnesses for the power window switch and the power window joystick (driver side only). _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
