Anyone who owns a porsche and says they only drive at the speed limit, is being economical with the truth

End of Conrod Straight, Mount Panorama Bathurst.
Thru the right hand kink of the chase at 220 kph.
The V8 supercars do over 300kph at that point. Just for comparison.

I went 155 mph in my 951, seemed to have a bit left, but your heart rate goes up when driving that fast. Can't wait to see what my 931 does, when I can get it back together. Fixing my wiring issues.

Not sure how fast my car can go as I am still building her back from the dead, but I took her up to 80mph today. The flux capacitor started to kick on so I thought I should slow down a bit. The shocks are blown out in the front so the tires where bouncin' all over.

This with a 4 speed and she was still easily pulling. If I had to guess I could easily hit at least 140ish. But I won't til I get more cooling in her and suspension work done.

On a side note,.. I averaged 120mph in a blizzard going from Buffalo, NY to Syracuse, NY exit 50-39 in an hour and a half with an Eagle Talon TSi. Strudded snow tires all the way around. It was my Autobahn for the night Every 50 miles the pace truck with it's plow slowed me down for a sec.

The most my 77 1/2 924 could do on the straight at Bridgehampton Raceway was 118. It started to break up just past this speed. I did this on a lot until I needed a rebuilt. You learn the hard way.

Well as I mentioned in my last post on this thread. After going through the esses at Watkins Glen and hitting the back straight, I was able to max out at 160kph (speedo reading). I know it can do it faster, I just need more seat time at that track.

120 mph on a few occasions in my 1976 914 2.0 circa late 1980`s, mostly in Central New Jersey. I had those tall skinny stock tires to play with
