I've never named a car before, but this car is turning into quite a project and working on it everyday is like an episode of power block (or the like). I'm basically bringing her back to life after it's been sitting in a garage for a few decades with no pre-storage prep done to her. It's been an amazing time doing this as I like a challenge working on older cars, but I think 1 thread instead of about 4-5 may be good. It makes for a better story read.

I am hoping to take this car to speed week at Bonneville next month. maybe not so much to race, but definitely just to go there, enjoy the drive and hopefully see some record setting runs

So,.. what shale we name her? Project _______ ? Be Gentle, lol

(If it helps,.. I am going to make her one fast little 924)

I always found naming cars to be a bit silly. I do call my Ranger the Danger Ranger but that more of a description than a name.

I would go with the most suited autobots name:
cliffjumper
hubcap
(they were porsche 924 autobots)

otherwise you can try the followings:
KITT?
KARR?
General Daimos?
Jazz?
Crestless?
toofa?
ThePorscha?
TheCar?
bigblackbvoodoopapa?
otherwise what ex-girlfriend does this car reminds you of?

I sometimes call mine The Beast, as it rather is against all the cars my relatives have. Though I don't usually name my cars.

Perhaps Grey Ghost for yours?

Wade.

I call the Club Sport "The Club Sport", but his name is Krampus.

I had one named "GEIST" (white 924S), one named "WEISGUY" (81 Weissach Special Edition), one named SONIC (81 NA that was my son's car...it was blue, and my son is a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan...), and one named "GEBLASN" (means "blown" in German, an intentional double entendre for my son's 81 931). Of course, we also now have "SPIKE", who was named by Paul (because the car came from the Southwest, as did Snoopy's brother, Spike).

The others don't have names per se, I just call them "The 937", "The 941", "The DProd" and "The Wide Body Project". Oh, and the 928 was "The Shark".
