Gentlemen, I am researching to write a book entitled The Porsche 924 Carreras - evolution to excellence to be published in November 2014. The project has the support of Porsche Stuttgart and I am currently collecting images from around the world. I am seeking information on the whereabouts - country location only - of as many of the GTs, GTRs, GTS and their chassis numbers. The purpose is to establish a list in the book of those surviving. Plus to obtain images that might be used in the book to suppliment those from the factory archives. Contacts with drivers and owners in period is welcomed. The Production D Turbos that were inported by the late Al holbert into the USA are also of interest, as are racing 944s that followed the GTR,GTS period. The aim of the work is to publish a specific work about these machines rather than just a chapter in a Porsche book or articles in magazines. It will feature a lot more than the facts. Including driver and mechanics interviews, factory drawings, and details of the project years from Norbert Singer and Jurgen Barth. Several top drivers from Europe and USA are on board and contact with others is being sought. If you think you can help please contact me through these pages.
Thank you .........from my side I am an award winning writer in the UK and a member of the Guild of Motoring writers my existing works can be seen at www.velocebooks.com

This is very exciting. I have #82 937. I will contact you more directly after the Hershey Swap Meet this weekend.

Also, I will be in London from 27-30 April and would welcome a chance to meet face to face if it would further your aims.

If this book can be as good and as in depth as Gruber and Konradsheim's Carrera RS then put me down for a signed copy of 0001 fresh of the press please

I guess you know already that Ricky Cesar the CGT Registrar of PCGB is the go to UK guru of these cars, and an owner of a GT (did own all 3 colours in one sitting) and GTS.

Also go to Jon Mitchell at JMG Porsche as he's a minefield of info, services GT's and GTS'. Also knows a fair bit on 944 Turbo Cups if you plan go that far, and owns one.

Good luck and looking forward to my 2014 Christmas gift to myself
