| Should I stick with the 2 20cc accumulators or the 1 40cc? |

Short answer is "don't know", I seem to remember reading somewhere (Haynes?) that the fuel distributor changed when they went to single 40cc, but on the face of it can't see a problem.
I was fortunate to source 2 new 20cc ones for mine. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

| On German auto parts they've got a different fuel accumulator in the 1977 section. I assumed it was a 20cc accumulator |

Got the details from here http://www.bosch-automotive-catalog.com/public/catalog/products just need to input country of use and vehicle details.
Something I have just discovered, helping a fellow UK club member with an early 76 car, is that early models had one 20cc unit and an odd pump, later changed to 2 units and relocated pump. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

| I finally found a fuel line that fits my 40cc. It's the feed line for Scirocco/cabriolet. You can find them at AutoHaus Mk1 on eBay. It fits the smaller 40cc pressure fitting. It's the Feed Line. Not the pump to accumulator line...that one is the bigger fitting. |

So can I use 1 40cc? |

Don't know anyone who has tried it in place of 2x20, but it's purpose is to maintain fuel pressure during engins shut down, and either set up should do that. Looks as if you might be the the one carrying out the trial _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

Thats a trial I'd prefer to not have to test, but I'll try it... I guess if Im replacing the pump it won't be that bad |

The early cars had a single 20cc unit. I remember seeing a service bulliten to cure the hot start problem by installing a second 20cc unit. Then porsche started installing a single 40cc unit like on my 1980 car. _________________ 1980 924 N.A. Monaco Blue owned since 1987

How did people end up doing with this. Is there a cheaper 40cc or 20cc equivalent out there now? _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

I would be interested to know what people have done too. Both mine are shot and I'd like to replace all the attaching hoses since they are 35 years old! _________________ 78 924 |
