You want my old set? The tricky part is getting them over the pond.
I'd put them in the car when I ship it but roll-on-roll-off shipping doesn't let you. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Hoisted the CGT car onto the lift, again. Pulling the engine in favor of this rebuilt Series I engine I have. Spent most of today filling a 4 yard dumpster with crap from the machine shed. Have more to go. But, that's progress.
This engine goes like a bat out of hell, but, likes to spit up lots of oil via the AOS breather. Note the shiny stuff on the right~!
OOohhhh, half done with cleaning!
Everything is rebuilt in this engine. Top to bottom. Ok, used pistons.
Hope to have it done by this sunday, finally have some warm weather here in the cold north. Going to reroute the fuel line and FPR, and today, I cut out most of the spare tire holder thingy. Easier to move tranny back. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

ooooh, progress. Cleaned off horizontal parts holding device, and started laying out tools, and, oh, parts.
Nice to take exhaust off in one piece.
Shot of spare tire well, removed and almost patched. Pulling back tranny to facillitate engine removal.
What purpose is this part? It's attached to the rear of the torque tube, in front of the aluminum underbody support?

This is a track-only car, do not need the well any longer. Quicker to move tranny back and not take it off the TT. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Holly cow,
mayor problem!! Please, get some tie down straps and support your drive shafts!! Hanging down is killing them quickly. _________________ NA 924 - april/1977- 4-speed-audi gearbox.

Thanks for the tip, I did zip-tie the rear shafts a bit higher. Also, got the rebuilt engine done! Do not want to figure in how many beers this took, but, burp. Anyway, had to swap over all of the parts from the tired engine. Took a bit more time than I originally thought.

finally spring came, so with new wheels on went for a test drive
now have to figure out how to "disable" fuel cut-off above 0,7 bar, because there is no use of MBC when it stops me from using it immediatelly after hitting 0,9...
which ones are not original?

I know how you feel buddy. Did this job a year ago after bearing failure within 30 road miles!! Doing it again now after a full rebuild

Oooooh, we have matching black painted blocks! Mine is back in the car today. One of these days I'll buy a leveling block for the engine install. Ugh, doing this by myself hurts! _________________ '83 944 Track car.
