I may have posted this a Looong time ago, but I though I'd mention is for anyone who might be interested in trying it.

So I think the CIS sucks and when i pulled the motor out of one of my 931s I thought "theres NO WAY, Im putting the CIS back". and I would put in my own headers so that I could use a "normal and modern" turbo. and of course add an intercooler.

I thought (and bought) that the EFI system from mitsubishi's 2.0 turbo engine would be perfect. there are LOTS of tuning available for them, and AEM makes some good stuff. Also its Dirt cheap. and it uses a Cam angle sensor, rather than than a Crank angle. (and the sensor would bolt where the Distributor is now)
I think I got almost all the parts for little more then $200 including the wiring harness, air flow sensor, computer, other sensors, injectors, and throttle body (I think)
all this was from an eclipse.

anyway, food for thought, I never had the time to reverse engineer the wiring harness.

The biggest advice I can give you is too lay the harness out get rid of all you dont need. Seperate the wires and sensors and zip tie each . Do dry fit of the harness by laying it out on the engine bay, the go back and wrap the harness.
I did this with my set up ( see easy EFI ).

I posted a video in the general discussion about a 924 that used EFI from a 2.3 Ford.
