Haven't found anything at all, so I thought I would double check here before I move this from my "wants" list to my "fuggetaboutit" list. Is there any source at all for the factory style sliding 2 piece front windows found on the GTS? I've seen some windows with small sliding cutouts, but I don't care for those.
Go ahead, kill me quickly |

I have not seen any company that reproduces the slider window in that style. There was a writeup somewhere (I think even here on this board, but it might be on RL or Pelican) of someone who had done a pretty good job making their own replica out of Makralon. It wasn't identical, but it was closer to the GTS window than the D9 stuff. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Thanks. Fabricating those is far outside of my skill set and I imagine commissioning one-offs would be prohibitively expensive. Oh well, on to the next item! |

Not my cup of tea so I don't have direct bookmarks
Do some digging into todays European 944/951 racing and you'll find these are costum build for the reproduced lightweigt/carbon doors.
Contact the builders for details on the sliding pieces.
Good luck.
Cheers, Harm.
ps. What a waste: handmade-gfk-parts.de/924-carrera-gt/ is no longer online… _________________ Porsche 924 NA 1982 LY7A/A3A3 _ Greater driving pleasure never harmed anyone. |

Well, usually my google-fu is pretty good, but I'm not finding any cars with the sort of windows I'm talking about (Except for factory of course).
Harm, you got any more hints? |

I'd love to have a slide on my driver side. I just cut some out of lexan using the window glass and heated them up a little bit for a slight curve and they fit right into the stock window slides. Then used a few bits of carbon fiber and quick release pin to drop them out and remove them. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

CPV - Did you ever post pix of how you fastened the lexan in the sills? _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat
