There are 12 Dodge Neons at the local pick and pull, from 1995 up to 2002. Not sure if all years work on our EFI applications, I am using a fuel rail from one of these cars, works great. (FPR has a return line to make it work). Might go take a look and see if many are left, will report!

Has anyone thought about adapting the complete engine management system from the neon? They have the same firing order and are similar displacement.

Once you understand the 'language', MSII works really well for our cars. Plus, you get software to tune the system. Something that might be lacking with junkyard stuff. I could be wrong though.

Just a thought. People have been racing Neons in scca since the day they came out and there is a ton of after market support.

Neons have typically run in SSB or SSC for road racing. Which is showroom stock. Not something that allows software tuning.

For Autocross there have been running in Stock or StreetTire.

Most of the development for the Neons have been in piggybacking the stock systems to adapt turbos or adding MegaSquirt. Aside from the folks that adapt SRT-4 engines and electronics.

I'd look at adapting VW EFI from a 2.0L SOHC motor and use the Neon rail (since the VWs use a different spacing) if I wasn't doing MegaSquirt that is.

That's not a bad idea. I'm probably going to get that 79 on Sunday and I'm weighing my fuel delivery options. I've even considered keeping the CIS. Sorry about hijacking your thread.

The 1.8 digi system that I used will supportrt a 2.0 with no problems. Alot of the VW guys do ABA switched as increase the displacement to 2.0 and still run a digi system.

Will do, have to grab the rear suspension off that '83 944 before they crush the car in a couple of weeks.

Ok, since it was about 60 degrees here in northern Arizona, went out and pulled 4 of the Neon fuel rails. I have one in my CGT project, and they fit well. You have to use a FPR with a return line to use these though. $40 delivered, USA only for that.

Also, spent most of my time pulling the rear torsion carrier, last one of these I think I'll ever do~! However, factory paint, a bit of dust, nice.
