In this order:
1. Check for blown fuse
2. Check for blown bulbs
3. Clean connections at light clusters
4. Clean ground at rear center of chassis
5. Check connections at brake light switch (will be on the pedal stop or the master cylinder depending on what model year your car is) _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I believe they do the same thing.
There is sometimes a connector on the reservoir cap itself for a fluid level indicator as well. _________________ Stefan
