So I read in another thread that someone had a intact alternator cooling system.
wtf is this? I have a shroud on mine, looks like piping hooked up to it at some point, but it is missing now.
What is this system? air cooled i would assume, if indeed it is an alternator cooling system. I am confused by this, having never seen nor heard of it before this car. _________________ 1979 924

That being said, here is a picture of a properly setup duct looks like.
This person replaced the original duct with aluminum flex duct.
I really does make alternators last longer. You should hook it back up.
