I recently rescued a 80 924 from sitting for 6 years and the owner was useing it as a wood bin for his wood stove. I would just like to say this board is absolutly PRICELESS! You guys are the best! I didn't know exactly what I was getting into but the car is running great and it's acually my every day driver now, thanks to this board.
I do have a question I didn't find here, like many others I'm sure, I found a cheap 944 rear hatch (with a spoiler) on craigslist. My hatch struts didn't hold up the glass when it didn't have a spoiler on it and surely don't with a spoiler. What car do I order struts for? 924 or 944? Are the 944 mounting points for the struts the same?[/img] |

Get the 944 struts they are stronger, the mounting points are the same. _________________ Porsche 924 1977 N/A

| Thanks, I figured they would be stronger but wasn't sure if the mounting was the same. |

The 924 hatches are older and weaker, sometimes with the 944 struts the glass and metal frame start separating but since you already have a 944 unit you should be ok. Welcome to the board. _________________ Porsche 924 1977 N/A
