Had a leaky accumulator... searching, found Autohausaz.

http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=t5utxv55cwo3ip45jgvf3q55&makeid=800019@Porsche&modelid=1263259@924%20&year=1980&cid=22@Fuel%20%26%20Air%20System&gid=6048@Fuel%20Accumulator

$135 -- free shipping.. ordered it Monday. got it Wednesday. It is in fact the Bosch part

0438170024 which is correct for my car. Came out of Atlanta GA. I am very pleased.. now to put it on the car.

Just ordered one for Casper. Maybe that will solve his strange hot start problem. After driving a few miles, if I stop and pick up something at the FLAPS, he won't restart until he has sat for at least 10 minutes. He then restarts and is fine for the rest of the day.

I just got my e-mail confirmation of the order. We'll see when it gets here.

Tom

I posted that it is in fact the Bosch part, because I was worried that it was maybe a "made in some third world sweat shop" thing. Shopping on the net can be stressful .,, if you don't know the source. But, has Bosch and the part number stamped in the metalwork and came in a Bosch box. Was worried for no reason...

At that price, it would be worth picking up a spare.

Recieved mine today. Took a week for payment to be processed and then another week for delivery downunder to Oz. $64 for postage but still $125 cheaper than prices I was quoted locally. One place even wanted to sell me an exchange unit.

Recently threw the gas tester on his car and sorted some running issues.
Has it been better?

Havn't been driving it much due to leaking accumulator/ starting issues, but is running alright. Changed last night and will get it out for a good run on weekend. Have had it for about 2.5 years and only on road for about 2 months now. Thanks all for sharing advice and experience.
