Found some strange custom wiring on the connector to my Digital Ignition Control Unit:

According to the book, my connector is missing the tach wire (green #2) and the ground (brown #12). The unsettling thing about this is that one of the two bridged wires is sold brown, which according to the book is ground, yet the bridged wires read battery voltage. However as it sounds right now, none of the wires on the connect appear to go to ground.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?
