It's time to replace the rear window hatch hydraulic support struts on my 1982 924 non-turbo. The stick I carry works well, but the car deserves better treatment. Are they readily available off the shelf if you purchase by length? Thanks in advance for your sage advice. - Peter

Just get a match close to the same length. Generic struts work great.

Genuine struts carry the earth for the rear heater element IIRC

Rear struts IIRC
LH carry power for window demister.
RH carry earth for demister and activates interior light.

its a 26 inch strut..from the numbers O'rieleys had i was quated at 70 bucks for a new replacement set.
