Looks good painted Porscheboy79.

And what size are those Fuchs?

Take it you`re going to pop rivet or screw the flares on, A9X style and not fill it with bog?

Hi all

the Fuchs are hand me downs that my dad's 911 had on it.

from memory 8" and 9" on 16" rim.

I love the look that the allen head bolts give.... It says I mean business! LOL
So I will do it the way the A9X was done.

I am partial to bog thou..................Hum..... No not this time.

Just a Super sprint at Bathurst. 15 years ago!!!!!
My brother took the shot of me in the dipper.
I had triple SU carbs on it that day and I had one of the float bowls turn and lock open the throttle on Skyline. I had to turn the car off to get it into the esses.

Memories............................................LOL

Finally the 400lb coilovers in. I need to raise them up a little.
Universal top mounts I had to drill mounting stud holes in to fit them.

So it continues....
My solution to lowering the car and fixing the control arm angle and deleting the rubber bushing.

Each control arm has about 1m of tube, 1x 18mm rod end and 2x 12mm rod end. A custom rear pick up has replaced the sloppy original fitment.

I have customed a high tensile bolt to replace the ball joint pin so the height is adjustable so the angle is now adjustable.

The castor is now even more adjustable along with more camber.

The rear has now been modified to take the AVO coilovers.

Mods include.
Drilling out top mount hole to 1/2 inch.
Drilling out bottom mount and sway bar bracket to 1/2 inch
Cutting a hole for the shock adjustment knob!
A few custom spacers and it fits like a bought one....

It has 600 lbs springs which should end up at around 380lbs at the wheel.

You'll have to reinforce the top mount though, or it'll crack - ask me how I know

Hi Andrew,

I was a little suss on the top mount but from a bolt point of view.So I investigated the bolts and I am using grade 8 and 10 thru the suspension and grade 8 has a 24000 lbs break shear strength so I felt ok with that.

I was planning to suck it and see on a practice day.

Where does it fail in your experience? any photos of what I can do to avoid future problems.

Thanks in advance Shane

Mine cracked the chassis rail at the mount where the bolt goes through. I made a bracket that bolted to the floor behind where the back seat used to be and then supported the free end of the bolt that mounts the shock. The 944S2's have a much better solution, but I didn't see that until after I made mine - search the net for a picture of an S2 mount.

I'll try to get a pic of mine in the next day or two.
