I completed a EFI conversion in one day using the Digifant system from a 92 8v, GTI. After reading all the conversions posted, I think I have found the cheapest and easiest... 150.00' if that.
If there is interest, I can go back and click some pics and do a write up.

makes sense.

why would you build a whole system from scratch when there are pre-modern systems you can use

I'm interested in how you did it.

The part of this whole conversion that impressed me the most is the fact this is pretty much a drop in. The only fabrication is of course the fuel rail.
The entire install looks as if it was factory.

So I just spend the evening doing a quick write up with pics and would ya know it, I need to post each pic seperately. Anybody want an email. Send a PM. Well here is a engine shot at least. This will not work on a 931.We are working on a 2.0 turbo F/I system from a SAAB that is a drop in also. That system is installed but we are doing a custom fuel rail of aluminum

Is anyone else thinking this should be expanded on and stuck in the Howto section?

Way cool.

Sounds very cool. Removing the CIS would free up lots of space for FMIC piping, yes?

You would think so, but not exactly. Removing the CIS does give you more space up front for an intercooler but that's not the biggest/largest issue to overcome.

The biggest obstacle in a front mount is the orientation of the stock intake manifold/throttle body.

Usually yes, unless you move the turbo to the other side of the engine:

Agreed. I thought maybe if you have an IC with the in/out on the same side (passenger) there would at least be room for the piping with stock headlights/bumper.
