I have seen numerous pictures of 1920's type vehicles being converted to Street Rods / Rat Rods etc using updated running gear and motors. Has anyone ever seen the running gear from a 924 or 944 used in rat rods ?

I saw a street rod with a 928 S4 engine/drivetrain in it. I've seen a Beetle with a 924 drivetrain in it then swapped to a 944 engine.

The 928 powered street rod is in an old magazine--not sure where to look--I have so many.

What about other vehicles or kit cars that have had the running gear from a 924 or 944 put in them ?

Or if you took the body off a 924 / 944 what can you put back on top
