This car deserves an owner who has the time to give it some real attention. Currenlty I don't
Mileage: 36,000 I can't say how accurate the count is as it hasn't worked since before I bought the car. It was something I was going to fix (apparently there's a small plastic cog inside the odometer that is prone to breaking and is fairly easy to fix) and never got round to. At the end of the day, I was buying a 27 year old car in really good nik, the mileage wasn't something I was too bothered about.
Wheels: The wheels are actually from the 924s and are pretty hard to come buy in decent condition. Well they're bolted onto this baby and with a bit of elbow grease they could look stunning.
Electronics: Nearly all the interior electronics work:
Electric wing mirror adjustment working
Electric windows (driver switch for passenger window faulty) working on both sides
Rear wipers working
Front wipers working
Pop up headlights working
Windscreen washer (switch works, but there's a small leak somewhere, so the tank will only stay so full)
Headlight washer (switch works, but the water doesn't seem to get through)
Pop up lights: THEY POP UP! I'm not going to lie, one of the most satisfying things when you're barreling along, it starts to get a bit dark and you can just sit back, flick a switch and let all the oncoming traffic revel as those eyes on the front of your bonnet open up.
Interior: The interior is part leather. I'm not big on leather, too cold in winter, to hot in summer. So the part leather suits me down to the ground. There's a few nicks and the drivers seat has a tear a few inches across, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Carpeted floor. Drivers feet-rest-bit-under-the-pedals have come away for the most part.
Body work: In really good condition, very little rust. The paintwork has been laquered, a fairly good portion of this is beginning to come away (rubbing down and respraying - another job I never got round to). There are a number of small dinks and one larger scratch down the side which I think could be knocked out and painted up pretty easily.
Semi-covertible / sun roof: Though the seal is starting to come away, the sun roof is actually still sealed (I drove to work in the rain today and have washed it I don't know how many times). The roof comes out really easily (one man job) and fits perfectly into the boot.
Other:
CD Player fitted (though I can't get the aerial up so you can only get one station)
Recently had a new fan belt
New alternator fitted 6 months ago
Any questions / suggestions? |

Not sure what it'd be worth in the U.K. but the prices over there don't seem to be too dissimilar to the prices in the U.S., so somewhere between £300 and £1000 would be my guess, depending on the actual condition (pictures are worth a thousand words). _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

It's worth what someone will pay for it..
There are a few on ebay and autotrader which on the face of it, look to be in better condition. All seem to be at the £500-1k asking.
The odo breaking will put off the casual buyer. From the wear on the floor and the seat though, my guess would be over 100k.
AFAIK, the spiderweb wheels are standard on the 1983 lux spec, which I believe all UK cars of that era were. The S wheels would have 5 bolts.
The post 1980s cars shouldn't have a huge issue with rust due to the fully galvanised shell. In the UK at least, this seems to do its job well on the cars I've seen and it's normally only bodged repair work that allows rust through.
There are a few parts missing under the bonnet, odd bits of trim set crooked, dents, and you mention work soon required to the sunroof.
While I agree it's near criminal how low the prices are, I think the £5-600 may well be about on the money
Keep it, you know it makes sense over some rotten little hatchback/shopping cart |

| I didn't put a reserve on. It went straight up to £300 within the first day. I'll just be happy to have two pennies to rub together. |
