OriginalPost: I'm still not convinced the pearl one is a prototype.

also in the CAR MAGAZINE November 1979 was a report of the Frankfurt Motor show - maybe somebody can help me and send me a scan of this report. I tried to get this magazine but i was not successful.

Can't help you on the Car Magazine of Nov. '79.
Auto Motor und Sport (AMS) of 26. September 1979 (Heft 20) published several reports on the 48th IAA in Frankfurt. The “Debütantenball” article at page 12 shows some of the unveiled cars that were on show to the public. The two small pictures of the Porsche 924 Carrera GT displayed on red carpet; exterior and interior.
The car shares the same looks as the prototype published in the AMS “Versuchs-Ballon”* article (page spread one) shown above by Gegge, like the missing air scoop on the hood. The article doesn't go into detail but refers to it as “Das weißlackierte Auto…”, meaning its white (also mentioned in the AMS “Versuchs-Ballon” article; second subparagraph).
Kennziechen: BB-CV 334.

Now in Stuttgart 7th of May there is a big event (125 Years of Cars) and i´m invited to present my 924 GT Prototype at the Castle of Stuttgart.

Thats Cool. Und ein imposantes Schloss.
So your GT prototype is genuine white? Does the rear bumper carry that big rubber strip?
Any chance you'll be visiting Dinslaken this sunday?
I'm not… but could

*AMS 21. November 1979 (Heft 24).
There is also a small picture of the 924 Carrera prototype on the cover;
the printed colours of the side caption seem to be a tad bit off… kinda metallic?

^Oh bugger…

Sport Auto, Nr. 11/November 1979
Rennsport–Studie: Porsche 924 Carrera GT
Studienfahrt, page 52—54.

Quote:
… Während sich kleine Buben auf
der IAA die Nasen platt drückten am
silbrig glänzenden Perlmutt-Renner,
tüftelten Porsche PR-Chef Manfred
Jantke und seine Sportsfreunde bereits
an Homologationsfragen und einsatzplänen.

Perlmutt = .

Anyway…
In relation to the AMS article(s) (same publisher) this report sounds more vigorous and entertaining. The journalist (Friedbert Holz) must have actually been there standing glued to the red carpet, hypnotised by the getrimmten Flitzers, the 924 Carrera GT rototype, in that crowded Porsche stand.

… kein Fünfzylinder-Motor aus Ingolstadt
und schon gar kein neu entwickelter Sechszylinder
arbeiten wird. Meinte ein Weissach-Monteur hinter
vorgehaltener Hand: “Es ist uns verboten, über
Sechszylinder auch nur zu reden.” Und der im
Test laufende Diesel mit Turbolader bleibt
hoffentlich auch nur ein Versuchskaninchen.

@sepo: PM send.
Hopefully I'll have some time next week to take these from analog to digital.
…it depends on the size of my Queensday hangover
You all have a nice weekend!
Regards, Harm.
