hi guys i am a first time porsche owner and lookin for some parts and body improvements for it and may not know what im talkin about or been misinformed so educate me if im wrong etc. i have a 1979 924 that i need a couple engine parts mainly a thermal time delay switch as it runs like crap. and some interior parts, dash, seat skins, window switches in door, the it looks like moonroof air deflector? vinyl section that hinges up when roof is open? is broken and looks like needs the mounting plates or hinges to mount it back to the roof? also is there a key to take the moonroof out? didnt want to wreck anything not knowin what im doin! i need heater control knobs, shift knob/boot and the small switches that mount in front of the center console ashtray? they r missing so i dont know what they r so if someone could tell me whats supposed to be there that would be awesome. for the outside i would want a rear spoiler. front hood scoop. some say one piece and some say 4 that wrap all the way round the rear hatch for the spoiler? front valence radiator grille? side body moulding like the carerras? lower body panels of any sort such as embelishers or valences. need front bumperette right side. front right fender body moulding piece. the washer wiper lever is broken so need that lever or whole assembly? what body or engine yrs would be interchnageable with mine? 76-82 924? is that right? i have been told any 924 into late 80s will interchange as well as older 944s? some volkswagons interiors, engines? i guess if someone could educate me on what yrs and parts i can interchange so i can have better luck searching for things would be helpful. if they r volkswagon parts im sure they will cost me less! let me know if u have the parts i need and package price on all if have or breakdown individual for me. also like with classic muscle cars you have companies specializing in restoration parts? aftermarket suppliers etc with catalogs? anything like that with porsches? IFC my only option for body panel improvements? howbout decals and badging? any help is appreciated. looking forward to my new project! ..........Scot ........puuuurfect68@yahoo.com |

Crimey, I couldn't get past the first line! What part of Wisconnie are ya from? We're on the west coast along the river. I should have most of what you need, come on over, pick and pull time! Really cheap as well. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Yeah, man. When I got my toofah, I had a lot of stuff to find, too. I started to go to pick n pull salvage yards and started yanking pieces off of wrecks I found there. Occasionally, I have bought stuff from the internet, but that's not as much fun. Dismantling wrecks at pick n pull yards is my idea of a Saturday afternoon well spent! _________________ Fred- 1979 924 |
