I don’t know how many of you read The Truth About Cars but they have some fun articles. This one is about a 944 but since it has the same motor as the 924S I thought I could post it here.

Any article that has statements like “The 944 has relatively few needs, if you use the Dai-Ichi power plant as a standard of comparison” and is written by a guy who can get away with calling his second wife “Vodka McBigbra” is worth a read.

Just read the article - hilarious.

My two cents on the 928 mentioned, it's in my neighborhood and I've driven it. Like the article states good records until 40k however, odometer is broken, red warning light on, and we couldn't find any evidence of a timing belt change & leaks oil. Overall, cosmetically good for it's age, interior clean and needs minor body work on the rear passenger side quarter panel. We were looking at purchasing it but decided the 931 was enough for now. Toodles, Kelly

but the GT3 wouldn’t give me the thrill that comes from not knowing if one will actually arrive at one’s destination on any given day.

How true! Funny article, thanks for sharing!

I can't explain it, but for some reason every time I see some sorry POS on the side of the road, I think "Ooooo, Chump Car!"
