I have a 77.5 model and there is a warning light right below the oll light in the cluster that I cannot identify as it will occasionally flash on and off while driving. My owners manual doesn't show what this light actually does unless it is the converter light. It looks like a wagon wheel with wheel chocks on either side of it. I am thinking its the converter light, but am not really sure. Anyone know?

I think that's your high beams indicator.

“You'd wanna take a look at the brake fluid level…”
That's what I would say if it was a younger model.
But, your description of the wagon wheel and chocks reminded me that I have no experiance with your type of vehicle.
There was a catch… I wonder what: Kick me!
Kind regards, Harm.

Impression of the regular dash gauge (low on fuel) for comparison that doesn't show the wagon wheel…

Nope, and if I could post a pic I would.....unfortunately, the pic of your cluster does not have what mine has, so I will describe it. Take a circle and put three seperate lines from one side through the middle to the other, just like what a pie would look like if you cut it up and were looking at it from above. Next, draw a line underneath the circle like it was resting on this line. Next, put one small triangle on either side of the circle resting on this line and wedged up to the circle, looking like the circle has a wheel chock on either side of it. And there you go.....now name that tune!

Allright then: It's not the converter light, thank dog!

Can anyone tell me what a converter light is?

Cheers, Harm.

Yes, that's it! Makes sense actually, the wheel chocks should have given me the first clue...duh! The converter I was referring to was the catalytic converter....maybe you don't have them in your country, but this was the first 924 model year to have them...

I can confirm that it is the parking brake light. My '77 has the same light and it turns on when I have the parking brake on.

See, I have that symbol on my cluster, too, and it turns on whenever I turn on my high beams. But that don't mean squat, really, seeing as how my car's previous owner messed up just about EVERYTHING so bad. So, clearly, there's just ONE MORE THING for me to straighten out.

As above, its park brake and the little sensor under your handbrake is a tad loose/out of adjustment..

Just look down where the handbrake is and you will see its held in place with a 13mm (1/2") bolt iirc, loosen it and lift it up a tad, retighten and should all be good

Yeah, that's not right. Your high beam indicator should be a little blue light above the gauges.
