I'm just frustrated with this thing

The shaking an exhaust leak I have determined are due to the need to replace engine mounts , after someone explained the process to me it mite not be as easy as I thought but will be ordering new one Monday.

Now the really aggravating issue is still open for debate around town at higher RPM or trying to run highway speed you can feel the noise pull down and the engine kinda lug like your put it in the wrong gear or something basically a short lose of power then it picks up all of a sudden. My first thought was "fuel" I drained and cleaned the tank replaced the in tank filter screen, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the inline fuel filter ...... nope doesn't fix it . Someone told me to check around the hose and injectors to see if there was a air leak so while running I sprayed wd-40 around each hose and no difference in RPM This problem happens worse in the morning when the car is cold (well cold for south fl) and one week can drive all week on 1/2 tank then again on another single day use 1/2 tank of gas

If anyone has any ideas of what else to check please let me know

Did you check your system and control pressures?

I should back up a little bit. What is the overall tune? Have you got good cap, rotor, plugs & wires? Have you eliminated vacuum leaks?

I have no idea , that is well over my mechanical ability / knowledge . My idea of a compression is what the car did two years ago when I bought it compared to what it has been doing the last 6-8 months there is probably a better way but this is all I have to go on

yes I believe so

yes I think so , I looked at all the hose and why running tried spraying WD-40 to see if I could find and vacuum leaks and did not notice and Rpm change so as far as I can tell there are no leaks

how about something like the fuel relay could that cause this type of issue?

This is most likely wrong but, maybe your muffler is breaking? Before one of the baffles in my car's muffler broke, when trying to gain speed from a stop, there would be barely any horsepower then surged forward. A far shot, but a possibility.

I don't think it could be the fuel pump relay as then the engine would cut out completely.

so your muffler was acting like a jake brake on a truck some times was it just a baffle inside the muffler it self or farther forward , anything is worth checking into at this point.

the new motor mounts didn't ship until Wednesday so it will be next week now before I can get them in

Yeah, it was just a baffle in the muffler that was starting to fail and creating a bunch of back pressure causing the lack of power at low rpm. Your problem though is at high rpm. Is the loss of power kind of aggressive, or is it subtle? How long are these durations?

yes mine is at higher rpm , it kinda feels like you hit the brake or jammed it in a gear that was to low but then even outs but power loss remains and gradually gets better until it happens again , normally it is better later in the day then early in the mornings but I don't know why
