Could someone explain where the Offset is measured from on the rims? I want to get some wider rears like the standard GT fuchs but not break the bank

So the offset is measured from the centreline of the wheel to where it actually fits up to the hub, sweet so the bigger the positive offset the further out the mounting and the smaller the "Dish" of the rim.
Inversly the smaller or even negative offset has a "Deeper" Dish

RrrrriiiiiighhhhhT !

So for a 924 Carrera or / 944 Early models the (23 ET) is 23.. External ?

on front and so to "Fill the Rears well 13 ET or less would look much better than using 23s on the Rear? or for a really Ultra wide flareed car a negatively offset wheel would provide a Deep Dish.

The 911 8X16s have a 10.6ET

The 951 8X16 have the 23.3ET

The Carrera GT usually came with the optional 7X16 and 8X16 911 offset wheels.

The ultimate setup to fill the wheel wells would be 911 offset 8X16s in the front and the 9X16s with additional 5mm spacers in the rear.
