Hi guys how is everybody doing!

Well after I guess I don't know 1 year after my kid being born, and 3 years of marriage, i was push out of the car as we needed a family car. and a prius turned out to be a good option, I was severely separated from my porsche.

but a few weeks ago I came across a 1987 944 (951 if im not mistaken as it presented signs of being brutally chopped of the exhaust and missing the intake and fuel system, maybe I'm wrong) but the car was in great condition despite being in the junk yard.

so it lighted my desires again and the next couple of days I started tearing of parts .

took the following:

Full suspension

power stearing

break system

gas tank

fenders, nose

water reservoir

interior cappet in good condition,

power seats and back seat

servo for hatch , hact +wing, rain gutters.

choped off the quater panels

and many many piece of trim, gauges, and small parts

as I approached to swap the suspension, I realised that I had no wheels to roll the car . but like 2 weeks after I came across a set of 17's x(10- and a local mechanic shop for 200 after no dealer had wheels for sale on porsche in town, and happier and more convince I got, so today took my spare block to get dip and hone and by the weekend and can start putting all the pits and parts i gathered over time to have a great engine.

On the side note Im sourcing the Turbo setup to make the rest of the upgrades proud.

ill post more on who this make-over goes, practically remodel my 924 to look like a 944.

Ernesto, I want to help you out, just need a list of things you need. Let me know asap, since we are leaving southern new mexico soon. I have a lot of interior pieces, body panels, engine bits, here in NM right now. My plan is to take it back to wisconsin since we need the space here. However, if you need something, I can leave it here, or haul it to El Paso for ya, we're not that far away.

I also have a rebuilt Series II turbo engine complete if you want to go that route. I also have a clean '79 n/a engine as well, both in Wisconsin. I can haul either one back to NM next fall. There is a shortage of 924 stuff down here as you know, so let me know! Dave

Thanks Dave, I appreciate a lot the help, so far not sure what else is needed I will know soon as I start putting the engine back together, so far I have the a NOS cam and the lifters from a previous group buy, my primary objective is to get all the mechanical stuff working in prestigious condition and then ill work on cosmetics, over here there is also a 944 1983 still got many parts, and most of the engine, though i hope to take the transmission and torque tube in preparation for a turbo engine, as Ive read many times that they are compatible with the 924 turbo. So that turbo engine as got my attention now .

so far , my brown 924 is running, and most of this upgrades will go towards the 1980 I have, I can tell you my wife is looking for a place to put all my bits in

so far I've sourced a rebuild turbo that was employed on cis for a 2.0, don't know if my fuel distributor head will match it, but I though it be a bolt on for the 79' minus adjusting the dizzy, injectors.... but i do remember that the fuel flow is greater on the turbo head so its back to step 1.
