I was thinking about using this method to make a box for ram air for my Webers. Have a box with a tube near the front with a filter kinda like a cold air intake.

Except go to a auto-body paint supply house.. and look for a tube of stuff called easy sand ...its easy to work with.

Be careful with whatever you design as you can cause more problems than you might solve. You'll want to ensure it is large enough to provide sufficient air flow for the all of the carb inlets at WOT and that the air flow is relatively equal.

I would look at using lost foam mold technique. Work the foam until shaped to what you're happy with, then smooth it out with tape and mold release wax and finally fiberglass and resin. Dissolve the foam and clean up any ugly bits.

I was talkin to a guy thats been makin molds with fiberr glass for a while..
He uses a product thats sprayed thru a 1.8 tipped gun. The stuff finishes like gel coat is used on the original piece that the mold is made from
its not heavy on the pocket book as well.
