It probably needs a proper tuning; since it's been sitting for some time, there's a very decent chance the fuel injection is crudded up etc.
So, tune-up (plugs wires filters etc) and check fuel and control pressures. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Wow, the weather in Romania must be bad, someones grumpy!!!
Andrew, to be honest, thats one massive open question!!!
Firstly, I think the Auzzie cars should be same spec as the UK, so it should be 125 bhp so it depends on what your used to in terms of it feeling fast!
Second, check everything went back on ok after the head gasket was done.
Third, if it's running like brand new and making 125 bhp, have a look on the FAQ section but to make any worthwhile power increase your talking major work - like turbo's or superchargers. There is no cheap mod for the 924 which will give you 150 bhp or anywhere close!!!
Maybe have it dyno'd and see where your at first - if it's 120bhp and it feels slow - either sell it or get ready for expensive mods!! _________________ UK spec '83 N/A with 931 motor with Eaton MP62 'charger @ 15psi. What you could do:
—Switch to eating salads
—Take the bicycle more often
—Keep the negativity to yourself, thankyouverymuch
—Use the search and do more reading on your subject
—My first guess; Find the sweet spot in the ignition timing, by hand/ear
200 km/h is way over the speed limit so I don't see why you would call it slow.
Kind regards, Harm. _________________ Porsche 924 NA 1982 LY7A/A3A3 _ Greater driving pleasure never harmed anyone. |

that made me smile morghen,
tuf-924, what morghen is saying is,.. you are missing the point
Take a good look at your car, its a 30 year old budget sports car. Be realistic.
Find the sweet spot in the ignition timing, by hand/ear like harm said but its never gona win you a drag race. These cars are fun not fast. Like a go-kart is fun not fast.
The car has its gearbox in between the rear wheels and its engine between the front wheels, this means it has near even weight distribution (like a mid engined car)
You can adjust the ride hight, camber and toe in/out and that's just at the rear wheels, You can fit stifler springs, better shocks, bigger wheels and breaks, as well as roll bars
You can set it up so when you take a corner it feels like it runs on rails,
This means you can take corners quicker than in a civc
I put some of that higher obtain gas in when i feel the grass is greener in a different make of motor
I wonder if there will be a civic forum in 20 years, or will the steel worm have got into them by then _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)
