I need to change my rear dampers, and I noticed that ( on porscheshop.co.uk ) SPAX rear adjustable shock absorbers cost the same as standard dampers, but are bump/rebound adjustable.
Why so cheap? Are they flimsy crap, or are they just good cheap shocks?

Anyone who has these care to comment?

I have seen alot of kit car/race car builders in the UK use SPAX on high quality builds so they won't be rubbish.

I've used them on a lot of race cars without problem.

friend of mine is mounting them on his mini. Haven't checked them out in detail, but at first glance they looked good. I'm curious how they'll perform but I'm pretty confident it will be better than before

On the finnish Porsche board one guy put Spax dampers and 951 sway bars on his 924. He said the ride was very firm after this modification.

That's another worry, if they'll be too firm. This is a daily-driver which I want to improve somewhat, not a track-oriented stripped-down hard-as-nails beast .
