Any opinions on the quality of these bits? They are currently on sale on the GC website quite cheap.

I believe they're essentially the same as the Paragon ones I've been running for years...

Are the ebay nasty ones that much worse than the GC's? I'm about to buy all the bits and pieces to convert my stock M474 suspension to coil overs, spring perches and camberplates and was going to use the ebays. Ground Control's look better...

Lots of people complain about the Mookeh bearings binding. . .I was tempted but decided to stay away from them.

Yes, and this is what the Mookeh plates lack. The bearing in them is much smaller and cheaper. There have been conflicting reports (mostly on Rennlist) re: their longevity. Some have claimed no problems (although most indicated that they continually lubricated the bearing), while others have reported that the bearings are prone to seizing and failing.

The Ground Control units are really very nice, but are ~2x the cost.

IMO, the Mookehs are probably OK for occasional track use provided you lubricate the bearings regularly. If you're going to track the car regularly, I don't think there's much question that the GC units are the way to go.

Been using GCs on our sh!te roads in Britain for two years now, plus track days: recommended.

The Lindsey ones I had before were mashed to a pulp pretty quickly.

To answer my own query, these things are awesome. Very well designed. . .NO load on the little top bearing, which only functions to locate the strut top.

The sale price is still on, so HIGHLY recommended.

CAVEAT - likely to raise front ride height, so should be used with lowering springs or coilovers.
