I'm generally new to the forums, but I was thinking of a cool addition to the board. A section where you have your own thread, dedicated to your car, where you can update what you're doing for all to see. Just an idea, thought it would be cool.

Thanks For Reading

Drizz

Exactly like that, but like a section of the forum dedicated to those kinds of posts.

We are many people that would like that, the current way of handling peoples "car thread" just sucks. But I dont think there will be any evolvement here..

I really don't think its that big of a deal, I don't understand why everyone is opposed to it. I think it would get people taking more pictures of their car for everyone to check out, and not to mention it would surely clean up general discussion quite a bit.

the GRM site and forum has something like this already.

One of mine:

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/109/

CorsePerVita's:

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/1480/

You could just sign up there and build a profile, then post the link in the WWW portion of your profile here.

Besides, if your car gets enough interest and/or it has a GRM sticker it may end up in the magazine....

I think the Pelican forum has something similar in some ways as well. Haven't checked it out yet though.

So… where is "Your" thread?

How on earth does pinpointing a section of my signature having anything to do with a addition to the forum with your own personal space to show off your car and additions to what you have going on over-time. Think before you do. I was actually planning on making "My" car thread, but this idea popped up instead thinking of those sites posted previously.

I'm thinking the entire forum consists of Republicans, change is good in interval.

We really don't need any arguments, especially over something so silly.

This idea is okay, but as fiat stated, just build a page where you can create all your latest projects, and then post the link here for people to click on and they can still see everything, and it will be a lot more categorized.

Then at the starting post on page 1, link everyone's site that they posted in the forum, for quick reference.

Well, from my 4 years of experience here, is, that noob build-up stuff, for example, is just not that interesting.

Another example, guys chasing CIS issues can be resolved by searching the forum. Devoting a build-up thread on how you resolved your CIS problems in a '78 n/a, not interesting, no one is going to respond, or barely read it.

Not being an elitist snob here, I drink beer out of cans, lots of them, but, unless there is a CGT fit and finish build-up, or, an n/a with carbs with huge pistons, not much interest. Build-up threads need something new, different, exciting, something the rest of us virtual builders can enjoy, and maybe, just implement the process ourselves down the road!
