According to the offset calculator, this would result in 45mm clearance in the back inside, and 31mm further out on the outside. To dark and cold to go look outside at the moment, but I wonder if there's a way these could be made to work without a D-Prod or CGT rear arch conversion...? |
According to my 80 931 with stock (as far as I know) spacers on the rear, they will fit. I've got 8" wide 52.5 offset and they would stick out 5mm farther, and require 21mm more rear clearance. From my measurement, a 245 width tire would work for sure. At most a mild fender roll because I was already thinking about 255 wide tires in the rear because I have the room to add the 5mm. _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!

Here's the first of my new wheels as a test fit. 4x108 off of a Ford Contour. They were chrome, had some dings, now painted and straightened. Need bigger spacers to fit better and some center caps that aren't flush. Have to finish painting wheel wells, install Weltmeister front springs, reindex rear torsions before we get to see the whole car.

Yeah, you're killing me here with the wheel well pics , just kidding, looks great. Can't wait to see the car .
A little bit of grinder action, huh? My after market Mustangs required some too .
Here is a good site for adapters, going to get me some rear ones soon, talked to the guy, he makes 'em to order.
I'm gonna try to get over there next week to see what kind of work he does, looks good on the site.

Adapter time! I got 1 1/4" for the rears. Thought I had some better before pics from the rear, but I don't. Makes a big difference appearance wise.
Before...
After...
Edit: Forgot to plug source, He had to make them, all sizes available, nice quality product...http://www.lugmanusa.com/

I've only seen one other car in this thread with these originals on them, but I rather like them. They are on mine.
This picture is not my car, but same wheels

Finally got around to taking pic of new wheels.
Wheels off a Ford Contour, 4x108, were chrome, added spacers and $2 decal to center cap.
