The other day one of my 924Ss did not start. This seems to be a common complaint about these cars lately.

I was interested to find after some checking that it was the fuel pump fuse. But the way it failed was what got me. It did not blow, rather it eroded at the contact over time. It was impossible to tell it was bad visually without removing it.

Good fuse?

I think not!

Wow, In forty years, I've never seen a German fuse do that!

Thank you.

I have a no-start, turns fine, tach bumps can hear it trying to start.

I read your post, and pulled that fuse and noticed heavy looking white corrosion. I just got back from O'Reiley's With new fuses. I'm waiting to charge the battery; my son left the doors oped and the keys in the ign.

@mehall: Did replacing the fuse end up solving your no-start problem?
