I have bought a Dansk exhaust for my 924 turbo.

The Dansk has fitting at the rear silincer for the later type of mounting. On my 931 (1979) I have the early type of mounting with the clamp around the silencer.

The problem is that silencer of the Dansk is much smaller then te original damper, so the clamp is way to big.

Does anybody had the same problem ?

Number 12:

Yes I had the same problem. Also the clamp would continuously drop of from its hanger (part number 11) with Dansk exhaust. I ended up drilling two holes to both hanger and clamp and then bolted them together. But it is only a temporary solution because as you said, the silencer is too small for the clamp and therefore rattles annoyingly.

Yup been there doner that. I got rid of alot of stuff... maybe to much..
I utilized what was offered and bought more parts. Another of these helped hang it. From the list part #19 and 20 and 17. All replaced
parts # 12 and 10. Though you could modify number
if you cut and weld.

Cheers.

Odd. My Dansk muffler came with a clamp and fits perfectly on the factory hanger setup. Mind you, this is on SONIC, an 81 NA, not a 931...was there a changeover between 79 and 80 on the muffler hanger setup???

Yeah, the Dansk on my '81 has a much smaller clamp than the stock one. The new exhaust should have come with one.

Of course my system was bought about 3 years ago. Maybe they stopped including the clamp?
