I'm hoping someone out there knows about this 1977 924 which was originally from America but now resides in the UK.
It is a 1977 MY and looks like no other 924 (at the rear at least)

Any ideas? _________________ --

That car has been discussed here within the last year or so, but I don't believe anybody knew of its provenance. If I can find the thread, I'll post a link, but it'll be searching for a needle in a haystack...
I'm sure I speak for most of us here in saying, whatever you learn about that car, we would love to know! What a sublimely hideous creation it is!

Looks like something from a movie? Run a carfax!
The more I look at it, the more I feel like I recogize it, I'm just trying to place it for the movie.

Could also be some sort of weird aerodynamic test
Raised rear section for less air detachment and tapered as well _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Got any recent pics? I just noticed those pics are from the same time. I'm thinking it's a movie prop,
it seems familiar, trying to think of an early '80's movie it could have been in _________________ I got nothin'

I once read a rumor that the hatch on the Fuego is the 924 hatch upside down... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Well it is not true. I had also heard this rumour and then remembered there was a Fuego in my hometown. It has been standing there for ages, although it is probably used daily. I took my best furry friend for a walk and got an excuse to go and see this Fuego. The hatch is different. Myth busted. _________________ Mikko

| It sort of looks like someone trying to imitate the 911s fat ass onto a 924, then going a bit nuts with the sculpting. |
