|
|
So here is my issue. When my car is at idle or in neutral going down the road and I turn the AC on it drops to like 500 or 600 rpm's and runs rough....But runs great with the AC on while accelerating or feathering the gas while stopped. I changed the Idle control valve, and had the AC system checked STILL does it.....PLEASE HELP _________________ 1988 Porsche 924-S |

First, follow THIS PROCEDURE to ensure your idle is properly set. _________________ Toofah King Bad

You changed the ICV.
Did you remove the intake to get it out?
Did you just pull on the ICV to get it out of the hoses? Are the hoses cracked?
Check the ICV hose connection at the intake air boot. Replace all pinch clamps.
If the procedure Rasta suggested does not help, you can get a throttle body rebuild kit from www.arnnworx.com for about $25 shipped.

I took the intake off....Replaced the ICV valve, hoses, clamps, gaskets, etc...
maybe what ever tells the ICV valve to come on?? I really don't know what else to do....I'll check my Idle to make sure, but it idles and runs great other than the issue ive posted _________________ 1988 Porsche 924-S |

"Idles great" doesn't mean much with this system. . .if the idle bypass isn't adjusted within spec (as above) the IAC may not work. _________________ Toofah King Bad
