Has anyone removed a 1997 Honda Civic lower pressed ball joint? We have a few bolts taken apart so we can get to the ball joint. We tried using a ball joint remover, but that's not working. I believe this may have the original ball joint. Any suggestions would be appreciated. _________________ Rob

I can usually get them to pop by hitting them on the side with a BFH, or:

This shows the method (this shows a tie rod end, but it shows where to hit it).

We were able to remove the cotter pin and castle nut and get it to pop with a pickle fork. Now we just can't get the ball joint to press out. The "receiver" parts, in the bottom left of picture, are "well used" and don't stay when tightening the press. The press used is here:
