Bleeders always up, they are supposed to be the highest point of the caliper otherwise you can trap air in the caliper. Also, what rotors are they? 944 ones or others? _________________ Over the top of skyline, total brake failure.... hit the wall at over 200 kp/h at the dipper, so anyone who has to brake for the esses is a pussy.

+10, assuming the quality is comparable to other custom blends, this is a monster deal. _________________ Toofah King Bad

I must admit I didn't catch that part about "Total Seal" rings the first time around. I know Total Seal made 924 rings back in the day because I bought a set for the 80NA. Last I checked it seemed they would have to be custom but I only looked in their catalog recently.
That really is a good deal with all that. _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

I had a set of total seal too i believe anyway I have ome free time
a few hrs at the least
.. I should torque the front down install
the rack bleed the brakes. Then later see bout getting the wheels
on.
Still need to figure out the cooling fan times ill just switch wire it
so i can move it around and well run it
Getting time for the body
work phase. Thats alot with work on the turbo too as it should remain a roller I think. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Got my car aligned today for the autocross this weekend. -2.6 degrees of camber in the front and a slight toe out. Can already feel a difference. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Put on the pads and bleed the system after torqueing all the mounting points.

Why did you not fit braided stainless steel brake hoses? Did you spend the extra cash on a pedicure instead?? _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

Trying to do some maintenance on the '82 931. Cleaned up, painted, turned, and rebuilt the front brakes. Also replaced the drivers side strut mount, and tie rod ends. Some of this stuff was never touched on this car.
Then this fell out from behind the dash which explains a few things. Was thinking this should go under laugh of the day....
A wee bit of harness work up next followed by a new timing belt and likely a cam/follower swap out.
Tires came too. Trying out some Eagle GT's for the stock rims. Needed something quick and reasonable. A bit heavy for my taste but I keep forgetting they are 15" kims which means more tire carcass. They do have a rim protector which surprised me. _________________ 1980 931 since 1989
