Last week my car started to make some noise while I turned or braked. I came home and checked it out, turns out that the wheel can wobble about 1/4 inch, i thought for sure my wheel bearing was shot, but instead I found this...

The strut has a larger hole then it should for the concentric bolt. Well, it's a good excuse to upgrade the front suspension I guess.

Toast. Good news is, you should be able to easily get toofah/early feauxfah strut housing for next to nothing,

Hey Rasta, do you know where I could buy new shocks and struts? I was going to go with coil-overs, but since the car is only for street use I was told it's not worth it. I want to drop the front 1"to 2" and have it stiffer then shock, but not too stiff for daily driving, (250# ?). I wanted coil-overs mainly cause I can lower/raise the car when I pick different rims. Any help is much appreciated.

I've been looking at:
ground control,
peilcan parts
shox.com
paragon-products.

any others?
My price range is under $600 (I'm hoping more for the $400 range)

Thanks

I have some cheap coil overs and cheap camber plates, cheap. Have the Welt. 250lb springs, Bilstein HD inserts, which I like better, I'm keeping those. Rasta has same inserts for sale, and rear HD shocks too. I have a few strut bodies laying around if you need to replace the bad one.

Why do I feel like you are teasing me? Yes, I have a set of Bilstein HD, lightly used, boxed up and ready to ship. Weltmeister has a pair of 250# "lowering springs" that are cheap and popular, or you could go with the ARHK from Paragon, which are on Shaggy and many Spec 944 cars. The advantage of the Paragon sleeving kit is that it uses a standard diameter spring, so it will be easy to swap springs around if you choose, and they are height adjustable.
