I am in a mad rush to get this car back on the road, and to be honest there are a few niggles left, BUT having it checked out by an auto elecky this weekend - but if that fails, are there and techies in my area i can call upon for some beer tokens? After the weekend will know more about issues left

Am meant to be driving this car next month - unpainted or not - its doing my nuts in now not seeing it on the road.

Cheers

Nathan

I have just google mapped that place, i remember you saying the name of the pub, but i couldnt place it. I know where it is now, you are, according to AA, 17 minutes away from me lol - so make that 10.

Hey, if you can thats great matey, its just being an arse at the minute, i may rename her 'Christine'.

Will see what is cured this weekend and let you know.

Cheers again

Nathan

No worries, always up for poking around other peoples cars
I'm not too bad at electrics either if you want me to take a look see...

I've also got a fair number of spare bits from the last car when it got EFI'd if your missing anything.

Cheers for that, i will probably take you up on that as i want it to be on the road now desperately

It was running and driving, but i think we messed up the dizzy and rotor putting new one on, as it would turn over, but not start (Think we messed up top dead centre on 1) No though when turning key, nothing! the blower which wont turn off stops though until you release key.

The rest i think is niggles, no horn, fan not kicking in, temp guage not registering, leaks etc - but i suppose they will get sorted.

See what gets cured with this guy, then i will provide a list, see if its anything you can put your finger on...........hopefully.

Just cant believe we have had this car in our family for over 18/19 years ish, got it while i was at school lol

Sounds about standard for a 924...

Temp sender wire will have dropped off, I can point it out but you can put it back on - I hope you have really long thin arms...

Check the relays all work and the grounds are all OK first then it's time to start metering stuff. The relays will have been best before 1994.

I have a spare working fuseboard here somewhere and a selection of relays.

I also have a timing gun (If I can make it work again) and a gastester

Cheers buddy - will see what this guy pulls off, he is the one who got it started last time.

In the cars defence, stood for many many years and it fired up in under 3/4 attempts.

Great car to drive, i remember driving it before it was taken off the road, and the seat now are even better!

Just want it on my drive now, instead of garage lol

Cheers

Nathan
