Would love to get a pdf version of the owner's manual for the '88 924s, anyone? Would purchase a hard-copy as a fallback. _________________ UnderDog

PDF copies of Porsche Literature are all illegal, unauthorized copies.
This site is not a place to exchange or trade illegal items.
If you want an Owner's Manual, buy an original print version. |

I was hoping someone just made a pdf version of their personal copy so they could better search it and have ready access - perfectly legal. And they could loan it to me, not sell.
I officially retract my request for such a manual - bad idea - more fun to figure out how things work by reading other people's issues anyway!
Original printed manuals are $100 on 'the bay' in case anyone was curious as to what these things are worth. _________________ UnderDog

Try finding a "Porsche Graveyard" in your area. We've got one in our here. Not sure how much they charge for shipping, but I've got a "running wish list" of random stuff I need to restore my 924, and they seem to have everything.

Automotion.com also carries new manuals. Their website is rough to navigate, and items I know for a fact they carry, never show up. You're better off calling their number on the website and talking to one of the ordering specialists.
I've ordered alot of new stuff from AutohausAZ. There a local company, but ship anywhere in the US for flat rate. I use them over Automotion because of my location, the stuff I order usually shows up on my doorstep the next morning. _________________ 1988 "Please Pull Me Over" Red 924

Anyone asking $100 for an owners manual is a crook.
When I got my car, I put an ad on Pelican asking if anyone had one, and I had three people respond with prices of $10-$20 shipped.
Of course, that was almost 4 years ago. _________________ Dan.

Are you talking about an official "workshop" manual, and not an owners manual? Surely that would be the only documentation for a 924S worth US$100?
924S owners manuals must be a dime a dozen down there... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Hmm, I'll sell the manuals (with cover) from my wife's car for $100. How about a sunroof bag and a Porsche tire inflater as well? _________________ Toofah King Bad

Sunroof bag? You mean that roof comes off? I tilts up nice for me, didn't know it comes off. Seems maybe more work then its worth. But thats why I wanted the owner's manual - to learn about all the features of this car. I'm finding lots of info online, so probably won't spring for the manuals just yet, but thanks for the offer. I really need to put the money towards tires. _________________ UnderDog

There are many owner's manuals for sale on eBay, with shipping you might have to pay as much as almost $100. However, that manual would be concourse quality.
Most are less than $25. Mine cost $15. It is a bit warn, not ahow piece, but all the info and photos are intact.
Factory work shop manuals new are currently running much higher. The 924S variant ot the 944 - the 924S is covered with a special chapter covering the differences - sold on eBay for $285 brand new. _________________ Mark
