Just a shot in the dark here...is there a source for Porsche Script material stateside, or possibly otherwhere depending on cost? We'd be looking for enough to do the front and rear seats of our '87 924S, and according to the original window sticker the interior was light grey cloth and leatherette...which it indeed is! We just need the material as we have the ability to source the leatherette as well as stitching things up and doing the installation.

Just thinking of having it available here in the garage for future use as the interior is serviceable at this time.

Thanks!

Been trying to get my hands on some of that too in the Phx area. No luck yet but I'm still trying, if I find anything out I'll let you know.

On a side note, 20th Street Auto has (or had as of 2 weeks ago) the front and back cream color script set in really good shape. My back seats look great, the front two however look like a gremlin got a hold of them.

There are a handful of custom auto upholstery places in the Phoenix area too. Thought about driving to them, pointing to the back seats, and saying, "make me that!". I have a feeling that will cost me quite a chunk of change.

I've also noticed that many are suggesting buying seats out of junkyards with good fabric in areas, and sectioning it together, my only worry is with the various levels of fading, you've got to see subtle differences in the end result.

I agree that using material from a used seat can be iffy not only from the fading issue, but general degradation and shrinkage. My wife used to do a lot of custom upholstery and still has her machine so we're hoping to find some "virgin" yardage.

I'll also let you know if we come up with something.

ive got a set of script seats in great shape that i may part with.

the passenger and back seat are in very good condition and the drivers seat has a crack in the leatherette but its not torn. it would be an easy fix for a repair shop.

i'm currently planning on keeping the rear seat bottom in the car, but for the right price i could look at removing it. the rear seat back also includes a good cargo cover.

Thank's, I remember seeing that site when I did a search earlier and that might be my only alternative, but I was hoping I may be able to find something in the States.
