Well i replaced my "anti-freeze" a while ago , and since then my car had been running on 1/2 on my Heat Gauge , Before i replaced it it was on 1/4 Constant no matter what . How do i get that air out , I red somewhere to turn the heater on full blast , pop of that "air nozzle" thingy (red) with a clamp on . What do i do after that? Just wait for watter to come out?

Thanks
Edit : i think the proper term is to bleed the air out

I found jacking the front of the car up , then removing the air bleed valve worked perfect. The key is to start the car cold and remove the valve. This makes it the highest point in the cooling system. Air will naturally rise to this point. You have to let the car idle.

Don't rev it or it will increase the flow od coolant and you'll loose it out of the bleeder.

Let the car come up to operating temp so the thermostat will open ( where the air is trapped), You might loose a small amount of coolant at this point. Once you have burped your baby...put the bleed plug in and see if that has helped your issue.

Hi , I dont got jacks at the moment , since we are moving , but i got it up a hill and did that , But how do i know when most of the air is out? Does the water "burp" out which is "air" bubles , and then when no more water comes out it means most of the air is out? then close the Bleeding red thing?

All people i know do open that red thingi, fill up the expansion tank, open the heat valve inside, rev-up the engine and wait till nothing like coolant is flowing out. Then close it and done......
That lifting is possible required for special engines witch are building up air pockets with in the engine. You feel that if the air from your vents get cooler even when the engine is hot and the heat is turned on full.(most likely in front of a red stoplight while waiting)

You have to make sure your letting the car come up to temp. or your wasting your time.

Try it as you did it ..might have gotten it all out.
