How far back did you have to take the oil pan to clear the cross member? Can you measure what's left for me? I have a rear sump pan that was made from two 4.3 V6 pans cut and welded together (from a v8 S-10 swap kit I got YEEEEEEEEEARS ago) and I want to know if it would fit. It almost looks like a front sump pan would clear too.

Which trans adapter setup are you going with?

I'm thinking of adapting an LT1 intake to a gen 2 block (87+ roller block) like I did when I had my 86 Trans Am. Then I can use my TPI harness I already have too. Hummmmmm, I'm getting closer and closer to selling my turbo 4 popper running gear and going for it.

I will measure the pan for you tomorrow as for the bellhousing it is custom made using an modified stockcar bellhousing and I am going to use an external slave for the clutch. The adapter for the bellhousing was made in house and welded to the existing bellhousing with the depth set to match for the porsche input shaft. It is really close to the same depth but we had to inset the adapter 3/16 inch.Hope this helps.John :

Thanks for the feedback. Tons of room for the pan I have. Very cool!!! I think I need to go offer my 4 popper for sale now!

Did you also make your own torque tube adapter???
