After all the reading about it as a standalone upgrade, I doubted whether I'd feel any difference on my auto, but curiosity got the better of me and I whacked it on.
Gotta say, it has made an improvement, especially on that 2nd choke.
Haven't hogged out that intake to match the ports though. Does that make it much better?

Done the same and yes, match the TB and the ports.
You should remove the intake to do this.
I also routed the crank breather to the air box, try that but make sure you plug the connection on the join in the boots. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

It was easy enough but it was awhile ago and took no pics.
just need a manifold gasket (cheap)
Had to disconnect the WUR and CSV, cables and cam, boots and hoses.
IIRC 8 bolts on the manifold.
TB bolted straight up but the ports were different.
Used a die grinder to cut the ali manifold to close and filed it smooth.
Manufactured my own gasket for the TB from gasket paper.
Washed it all out and blew out with compressed air
Routed the air hose from the sump breather to the air box and refitted everything.
No hassle at all. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Has anyone compared these to a Ford throttle body?
its a single hole around 75mm, I'll be trying soon on a manual.
They are probably similar to your mustang ones.
Was the power difference noticable?
Has anyone tried a big stall on their auto?
or modifying the valvebody, and/or solenoids to get it to shift harder?
I would like to try one with a 3500rpm+ stall, or heap from someone who has done it.
4000rpm would be nice because it would be under stall when hitting second and would multiply the torque for a bit (which should fry em (tyres)with enough power.)
I make electronic shift kits for Fords so I may look into these autos a bit more and see if I can do one (or something) for them too. _________________ 924 N/A snailshell, superpro linkage bushes, 2.5"exhaust

expecting 350Kw at wheels at 10psi. |

With a single butterfly set up the throttle could be a lot more touchy. The small opening when at part throttle makes cruising around town more enjoyable.
Note with the larger Audi set up... you can make a clip to fit on the links (that connect the two butterflys) so that the larger one opens sooner. It is a ballance again... if too soon it makes the car jumpy like a single opening.
Anyway it is kind of like the "throttle response cam" you can get for the 924S/944. While it does not make any more power... it makes the car "feel" faster because the amount of foot travel is less.
I like the way it feels. If anyone is interested let me know and I can get some pictures and measurements. I just did it on a whim one Saturday. Pattent pending LOL.

This has been covered here before. Extensive diagrams, pics, charts...
Also, a weber big throat TB was done in one of the mag writeups IIRC("Heavy Breather" perhaps?). Didn't do much without other extensive mods to the head and exhaust... |

Correct without mods... does not do a thing. Even with mods... does little other than change "feel" _________________ 1982 924
